History:
The Iron wing landed successfully, Zero and X scouted out the
buildings around the junk crator (Which were later destroyed.)
and stumbled across a converted robotic tank which assaulted them.
Between them they managed to tigger off its internal ammunition
and reduced it to a wrecked shell. After repairs they returned
to patrolling and encounted their first big non-combat problem.
Freelancers. Robotic fighters and combat suit wearing humans who
arnt part of the maverick hunters who decided to respond to the
situation as well.
The problem the freelancers posed to the Maverick Hunters was
similar to the problem Vigilante's pose to regular police, basicly
getting in the way during combat. The Maverick hunters unable
to discern if these freelanders are maverick classed or innocents
who didnt evacuate. Zero's leadership was put to the test, but
when things heated up he became seperated from the group. X had
to take charge but became annoyed that the freelancers refused
to evacuate. Several maverick were identified:
Concierto: A pink robot with an explosive blaster. Concierto teleported
away quickly.
Shiva Pheonix: A robot that spoke of Sigma the lost leader of
the Maverick Hunters. Shiva self destructed when damaged by X
and one of the freelancers. The blast leveled the structures closest
to the walls of the crator and melted the metal debrii within
the crator wall but failing to damage the Iron-Wing. |
